Google Ads account suspensions can be extremely stressful for business owners, especially when the account is suspended under a serious policy such as Unacceptable Business Practices.

In this case study, I’m going to share how we helped a client recover a Google Ads account that was suspended due to the Unacceptable Business Practices policy.

The purpose of this case study is to show the process, the level of audit required, and the importance of fixing both website and account-level issues before communicating with Google.

About AARS Webs

At AARS Webs, we work with businesses on:

I’m Ali Raza, a Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and Bing Ads certified advertising professional. I also run a Google Partner company with a team of specialized Google Ads professionals and dedicated account managers.

The Problem: Google Ads Account Suspended

The client’s Google Ads account was originally created in October.

The account started facing issues around March. First, there were some disapproval issues related to the address. Later, the account was suspended under the Unacceptable Business Practices policy.

For any business relying on Google Ads for leads, sales, or traffic, this can be a panic situation.

When an account gets suspended, ads stop running, campaigns are paused, and the business may start losing potential customers immediately.

That is why it is very important not to make random changes or submit repeated appeals without first understanding the actual reason behind the suspension.

Our First Step: Complete Google Ads Suspension Audit

Whenever we receive a Google Ads suspension case, we do not start by submitting an appeal immediately.

First, we perform a detailed audit.

Over time, we have built a dedicated 170+ step Google Ads suspension checklist to identify possible reasons behind account suspensions, disapprovals, Merchant Center issues, Business Profile issues, and policy violations.

In this case, we reviewed:

Issues We Found During the Audit

After reviewing the account and website, we found multiple issues that needed improvement.

Some of the issues included:

1. Placeholder Content Issues

There were placeholder sections on the website that needed to be removed or properly replaced with real business content.

Placeholder content can create trust issues because it makes the website look incomplete or unprofessional.

2. Missing Robots.txt File

We also found that the robots.txt file was missing.

Although this alone may not always cause an account suspension, technical website issues can contribute to a weak website quality signal.

3. Page Speed Issues

The website also had page speed problems.

A slow website can impact user experience and may create problems for advertising performance as well.

4. Grammar and Content Issues

We found grammar mistakes and content quality issues on the website.

For advertising, especially when dealing with sensitive policy-related suspensions, the website content should be clear, professional, and trustworthy.

5. Unnecessary Symbols and Formatting Problems

There were also unnecessary symbols and formatting issues on the website.

Small errors may look normal, but when an account is already under review, every detail matters.

6. Missing Important Pages

We also suggested creating and improving important website pages.

For many suspension cases, trust pages such as About Us, Contact Us, Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Terms and Conditions, and service pages can play an important role.

Page-by-Page and Word-by-Word Review

After the first audit, we did not stop there.

We performed another detailed comparison and reviewed the website page by page and word by word.

This requires patience, experience, and attention to detail.

Many business owners submit appeals again and again without fixing the real problems. That can make the situation worse.

In this case, our team carefully reviewed the website and account again to find more issues that could possibly trigger the suspension.

Communication with Google

Along with the audit and fixes, we also started communicating with Google.

At one stage, Google’s response showed that the account was still in violation and could not be restored.

This is where patience becomes very important.

A suspension case is not always resolved in the first attempt. It requires:

As a Google Partner company, we also have access to dedicated support channels and account communication, which helped us discuss the issue more professionally.

The Result: Google Ads Account Unsuspended

After multiple rounds of audit, website changes, account review, and communication with Google, the account was successfully unsuspended.

We refreshed the account in front of the client and confirmed that the account was no longer suspended.

The notification showed that the account was unsuspended and able to run ads again.

This was another successful Google Ads suspension recovery case study by our team.

Important Note

Every Google Ads suspension case is different.

We cannot guarantee that every suspended account will be restored because the final decision is always made by Google.

However, what we can do is professionally audit your account, identify possible issues, guide you with fixes, prepare a proper appeal strategy, and help you communicate with Google in the correct way.

Why You Should Not Submit Appeals Without an Audit

One of the biggest mistakes advertisers make is submitting appeals immediately without fixing anything.

If your account is suspended, do not panic.

First, check:

Only after fixing the possible issues should you submit an appeal.
